Senior Product Manager - Institutional Staking

At Coinbase, our mission is to increase economic freedom in the world by building the emerging onchain platform and the future global financial system. The Institutional Staking team is building a trusted, scalable staking platform for institutions (asset managers, financial institutions, and crypto-native funds). This role focuses on defining the next generation of institutional staking products, balancing client experience, protocol dynamics, and enterprise-grade infrastructure. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, design, protocol specialists, sales, and legal, and involves direct exposure to large institutional clients.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for key staking features, multi-chain protocol support, and reporting tailored for institutional clients.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, scalable, and high-performing staking solutions across multiple chains.
• Engage directly with institutional clients (asset managers, financial institutions, crypto natives) to gather feedback, validate direction, and ensure security, ease of use, and operational excellence.
• Drive alignment across senior engineers, designers, protocol teams, sales, and legal on product strategy and execution.

Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience with a track record of building enterprise or B2B crypto products.
• Deep understanding of staking mechanisms and blockchain protocols.
• Strong client orientation; experience talking to customers and solving institutional pain points.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication, relationship management, and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to guide product strategy and create cross-functional alignment.
• Entrepreneurial mindset; ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated passion for cryptocurrency, financial markets, and Coinbase's mission.

Nice to Haves

• Prior experience working in institutional staking, crypto custody, or related areas.
• Familiarity with reporting and regulatory considerations for staking, including qualified custody and reporting standards.
• Experience working closely with protocol teams or participating in staking ecosystems such as Ethereum or Solana.

Compensation

• Pay Range: $207,485 — $244,100 USD (target bonus + target equity + benefits may apply; final offers depend on work location).
