Senior Product Manager, Security

At Coinbase we are building the emerging onchain platform and seeking a Senior Product Manager to join Security Platform Engineering to help make Coinbase the most trusted crypto platform. You will work on custody and security challenges including secrets management, risk management, insider threat, account takeover, regulatory compliance, and more. This role partners closely with Engineering, Security, Compliance, and Operations to deliver platform products that materially improve security and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and build out Coinbase’s Security platform strategy that serves the business globally.
• Own security platform products from conception to launch, ensuring desired impact and measurable outcomes.
• Stay up-to-date with onchain and security technologies and bring innovation to security platforms.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, security, operations, compliance, and other teams to develop and steer product roadmap.
• Partner with client teams and customers to gather and translate business requirements.
• Define and analyze metrics to guide product development and measure success.
• Align teams on a shared vision and steer execution toward that vision.

Requirements

• 6+ years of product management experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication, relationship management, and organizational skills.
• Deep analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability working with a high degree of technical complexity across a broad product portfolio.
• Previous experience in software product management for platform products.
• Demonstrated passion for cryptocurrency, financial markets, and the Coinbase mission.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
• Aptitude for learning and ability to quickly ramp up in complicated domains.
• Comfortable working with international counterparts across various time zones; flexibility in scheduling is required. Eastern Time Zone is highly preferred.

Nice to Haves

• Previous experience with security, privacy, and compliance products.
• Previous experience in the crypto industry.

Working Arrangement

• Coinbase is remote-first but not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year; team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually and attendance is expected.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $207,485 — $244,100 USD (target annual salary, depending on work location). Full-time offers also include target bonus, target equity, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.).
