Senior Product Manager, Security

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join Security Platform Engineering and help make Coinbase the most trusted crypto platform. This role focuses on tackling hard problems in crypto custody and security — including secrets management, risk management, insider threat, account takeover, and regulatory compliance — by building industry-leading security platform products that have measurable impact on security and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and build out Coinbase’s Security platform strategy that serves the business globally
• Own security platform products from conception to launch, ensuring desired impacts are achieved
• Stay up-to-date with onchain and security technologies and bring innovation to security platforms
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Security, Operations, Compliance, and other teams to develop and steer product roadmap
• Work closely with client teams and customers to surface and refine business requirements
• Define, track, and analyze metrics to guide product development and measure impact
• Align teams on a shared vision and steer execution toward that vision

Requirements

• 6+ years of product management experience
• Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of technical complexity across a broad product portfolio
• Previous experience working in software product management on platform products
• Exceptional interpersonal communication, relationship management, and organizational skills
• Deep analytical, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated passion for cryptocurrency, financial markets, and Coinbase’s mission
• Entrepreneurial mindset; ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment and quickly ramp up in complicated domains
• Comfortable working with international counterparts and stakeholders across time zones; role requires flexibility in scheduling to collaborate with EMEA and Eastern Time Zone teams (Eastern Time highly preferred)

Nice to haves

• Previous experience with security, privacy, and compliance products
• Previous experience in the crypto industry

Work model and location

• Many roles at Coinbase are remote-first but not remote-only; in-person participation is required throughout the year (team and company offsites held multiple times annually)
• This role involves regular collaboration across global teams and may require schedule flexibility to accommodate EMEA and Eastern Time Zone coordination

Pay and benefits

• Pay Range: $207,485—$244,100 USD (target annual salary; full-time offers also include bonus eligibility, equity eligibility, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k))
