NVIDIA Research’s AI-Mediated Reality and Interaction team is looking for senior research scientists to create interactive physical AIs capable of operating in dynamic 4D worlds. The team conducts fundamental research on algorithms, theory and applications of human–AI interaction and 4D world modeling using artificial intelligence, neural rendering, graphics, generative modeling, large language models, human behavior understanding and digital human creation. Work from this team impacts NVIDIA products including Isaac, Omniverse, Metropolis, NuRec, XR and AI4Media.
Responsibilities
- Propose novel fundamental research that advances the state-of-the-art and is relevant to NVIDIA’s business; prototype and test ideas.
- Publish and patent research in top-tier venues (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, SIGGRAPH, NeurIPS, ICLR, etc.).
- Collaborate with research team members and external researchers; mentor interns and junior researchers.
- Create working interactive demonstrations to showcase research ideas.
- Participate in technology transfer as ideas move from research to product and collaborate with engineers across NVIDIA.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent research experience.
- 3+ years of relevant postdoctoral or industrial research experience.
- Outstanding research and publication track record (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, SIGGRAPH, NeurIPS, ICLR).
- Proficiency in theory and practice of AI and computer vision algorithms.
- Experience with 3D graphics development.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C++; CUDA is a plus.
- Proficiency with distributed deep learning training frameworks (e.g., PyTorch).
- Excellent communication skills.
Benefits and Compensation
- Base salary range (varies by level and location):
- Level 4: 184,000 USD - 299,000 USD per year
- Level 5: 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD per year
- Base salary will be determined based on location, experience, and pay of employees in similar positions.
- Eligible for equity and company benefits (see NVIDIA benefits).
