Role overview
We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to join our Field Sales team. In this role you will be responsible for selling a best-of-breed identity and lateral movement detection and prevention solution. To be successful as a sales engineer, you should possess in-depth knowledge of technical products and services and be able to relate this knowledge in a way that is understandable to non-technical customers. You should be driven to achieve your sales goals and have excellent sales and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Work with sales partner(s) to develop territory and account strategies and campaigns
- Understand customer requirements as they relate to security architectures across data center, cloud, and enterprise environments
- Track and document aspects of the sales cycle including elements that are the primary responsibility of the Sales Engineer
- Lead proof-of-concept / value engagements
- Prepare and lead technical presentations to explain to customers how the products and services work
- Secure orders, guarantee product standards and assure product delivery
- Recommend new and improved products to customers and explain how the equipment will be more cost-effective
- Act as an active participant within the greater technical team, sharing experience and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience in real-world cybersecurity sales and/or consulting
- 7+ years of experience in the computer networking or security space, ideally in a pre-sales role
- Broad understanding of security solutions and technologies
- Ability to explain and demonstrate complex product/security solutions both technically and with senior leadership
- Superior communication skills including whiteboarding, public speaking and technical writing
- Operational or sales experience with SaaS, Identity, or Active Directory is a plus
- Ability to travel domestically up to 40% of the time, with occasional spikes above 50%

Compensation
This U.S. role has a base pay range plus commissions that will vary based on the location of the candidate. The range posted here is the on-target earnings (OTE) for this position, inclusive of base salary and commissions. For some locations, a different pay range may apply; if so, that range will be provided during the recruiting process.
On Target Earnings
$131,600—$209,000 USD
