Our Autonomous Vehicles Platform Team is searching for a hands-on simulation engineer to design ground-breaking solutions that will revolutionize transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars. You will collaborate with multi-functional engineering development teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our autonomous driving platform.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate across platform software, infrastructure, and ADAS algorithm teams to translate replay and simulation requirements into replay/simulation framework architecture and design
- Drive technical solutions for new concepts related to replay/simulation framework and infrastructure
- Design, document and optimize software architectures and frameworks for real-world performance while matching or exceeding customer requirements
- Engage in challenging work involving a multitude of unsolved problems
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of relevant experience working in software engineering and simulation
- Excellent C and C++ programming skills
- Experience designing, developing, and debugging complex systems
- Solid understanding of QNX, Linux, and real-time operating systems
- Solid understanding of simulation concepts and a strong foundation in mathematics
- Experience working on a large-scale simulation system (open and closed loop) for an AV stack
- Ability to self-manage and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred / Ways to stand out
- Knowledge of automotive systems, notably ADAS applications and preferably autonomous driving systems
- Embedded systems and SW/HW cross-domain knowledge
- Hands-on collaborator who works well within teams of system, software and infrastructure engineers, with a high level of detail orientation and strong data organization and presentation skills
- Strong communication, presentation, social, and analytical skills; ability to communicate complex interaction concepts clearly across different audiences and levels of the organization
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range (by level and location):
- Level 4: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD
- Level 5: 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD
