NVIDIA is seeking a security architect interested in a chance to define, craft, and guide implementation of security architecture for state-of-the-art SoCs and GPUs. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to support security certification efforts and ensure products meet stringent industry standards. This includes a hands-on role working with diverse teams across NVIDIA and external partners for mobile, automotive, gaming, and server platforms.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate across the company to guide platform security direction with hardware, software, research, and marketing teams.
- Support and manage FIPS 140-3 certification efforts for NVIDIA chips, including planning, documentation, implementation, and liaising with certification labs and government agencies.
- Research, design, and develop architecture solutions to meet internal and external security requirements and standards.
- Review architectural, verification, and firewall specifications from internal teams to ensure all IPs comply with platform security requirements.
- Collaborate among multiple engineering groups and external consultants and auditors to ensure robust and secure solutions from design to implementation.
Requirements
- BS, MS, PhD or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant work or research experience.
- Experience with ASIC design process and architecture of large SoCs or GPUs.
- Programming and debugging fundamentals with languages such as C/C++, Verilog, ARM assembly, and Python/Perl scripting.
- Strong communication skills for work in a dynamic customer-focused team.
- Direct experience with several of the following: system architecture for mobile, automotive, gaming or server platforms; SoC security architecture and fundamentals including secure boot, measured boot, HW root of trust; ARM or RISCV CPU architectures and related security functionality; cryptography algorithms, standards, implementation and application; security threat modeling and penetration testing; certification standards like FIPS 140-3 (or FIPS 140-2) and hands-on compliance testing and documentation.

- Competitive base salary ranging between 148,000 USD and 287,500 USD, determined by location, experience, and comparable pay.
