We are seeking a Senior security architect to define, craft, and guide implementation of security architecture for state-of-the-art SoCs and GPUs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support security certification efforts and ensure products meet stringent industry standards. This is a hands-on role collaborating with internal engineering groups and external partners to meet security requirements for mobile, automotive, gaming, and server platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across hardware, software, research, and marketing teams to guide platform security direction.
  • Support and manage FIPS 140-3 certification efforts for NVIDIA chips, including planning, documentation, implementation, and liaison with certification labs and government agencies.
  • Research, design, and develop architecture solutions that meet internal and external security requirements and standards.
  • Review architectural, verification, and firewall specifications published by internal teams to ensure IPs comply with platform security requirements.
  • Collaborate between multiple engineering groups and external consultants/auditors to ensure robust and secure solutions from design to implementation.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or PhD (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • 5+ years of meaningful relevant work or research experience.
  • Experience with the ASIC design process and the architecture of large SoCs or GPUs.
  • Programming and debugging fundamentals across languages such as C/C++, Verilog, ARM assembly, and Python/Perl scripting.
  • Strong communication skills; able to work in a dynamic customer-focused team.
  • Direct experience with several of the following:
    • System architecture for mobile, automotive, gaming, or server platforms
    • SoC security architecture and security fundamentals including secure boot, measured boot, and hardware root of trust
    • ARM or RISC-V CPU architectures and related security functionality
    • Cryptography: algorithms, standards, implementation, and application
    • Security threat modeling and penetration testing
    • Certification standards like FIPS 140-3 (or FIPS 140-2), including hands-on experience with compliance testing, documentation, and working with certification labs

Benefits

  • Base salary (location and level dependent). The base salary range is 148,000 USD - 235,750 USD for Level 3, and 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4.
