Role overview

We're seeking a seasoned colleague, able to lead features/epics, inspire others and lead them technically.

If you are a polyglot engineer with a keen product eye, you’ll have amazing opportunities to develop new functionalities and directly impact how customers leverage our Singularity Platform in order to perform threat hunting and build threat intelligence solutions on top of it. Specifically, you’ll deal with everything related to Data Ingestion and processing. Our roadmap includes many new functionalities as well as several cost and performance goals so we can process huge amounts of data at a really great cost point for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Primarily focus on hands-on development and implementation, contributing to the core functionality (data ingestion and processing) of the SentinelOne Singularity Platform.
• Design and implement high-quality, scalable features for our core cloud-native platform, utilizing languages such as Java and/or Golang.
• Contribute to the full feature lifecycle, from participating in technical design discussions to deployment and monitoring.
• Develop and maintain resilient backend services and infrastructure components that serve as the foundation for other engineering teams.
• Optimize existing code and services to ensure efficiency, performance, and reliability at scale.
• Participate actively in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to uphold high engineering standards.
• Assist in diagnosing and resolving complex production issues, and join the team’s rotating on-call duty after adequate onboarding.
• Collaborate effectively with other Engineers, Architects, and Product Managers to translate functional requirements into robust technical specifications.

Tools & Technologies

• Primarily modern Java; you may also encounter Go and a limited amount of Python.
• Cloud and compliance: AWS, GCP, FedRAMP.
• Data and infrastructure: Kafka, Redis, S3, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, GitHub.

Requirements

• Passion for building high-scale, elegant and simple distributed systems, with several years of experience designing and implementing them to solve complex problems.
• Enjoy a collaborative development process using design discussions and code review.
• Interest in the technical challenges of ingesting and processing petabytes of data daily.
• Strong experience writing modern Java or Go and flexibility to learn and use the right tool for the job (including new paradigms like Rust).
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar systems in large-scale solutions.
• Ability to identify relevant improvements/solutions in the literature and bring them into production when appropriate.
• Deep understanding of technology trade-offs and costs of different options to keep systems stable and scalable.
• A plus: solid foundation in building ingestion pipelines and experience solving high-volume streaming challenges and scaling.

Salary & bonus: Salary starting from 5000 EUR/month. Annual bonus based on company performance, paid in two instalments. The final base salary may be adjusted based on the individual skills and experience of the selected candidate.
