About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer on Sentry’s AI/ML team, you will be directly responsible for developing the platform used by Sentry’s debugging agents. This role focuses on integrating AI and machine learning into core Sentry products — from issue triage and resolution to predictive analytics for application performance monitoring. Your work will leverage Sentry’s large dataset of errors, spans, and profiles and will help customers gain actionable insights into their software.

• Leverage Sentry’s novel and massive dataset of errors, spans, and profiles
• Own the development of major initiatives in the AI/ML space

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, machine learning, or a related field
• Demonstrated expertise building production-grade agentic systems and tools
• Comfortable writing production-quality code (Python and TypeScript are used)
• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch)
• Familiarity with deploying machine learning models at scale in production environments

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range that Sentry reasonably expects to pay for this position is $150,000 to $190,000. A successful candidate’s actual base salary will be determined by factors including work location, education, experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. A successful candidate will be eligible to participate in Sentry’s employee benefit plans/programs applicable to the position, including incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and group health insurance coverage.
