Reddit’s Developer Platform is on a mission to become the creativity launchpad for the internet. We’re building a home for games and interactive experiences on Reddit. We give creators a cross-platform SDK, a compute environment, and AI-friendly tooling to build quickly. This role focuses on integrating advanced AI tooling into that platform and supporting creators and developers.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead the integration of cutting-edge AI capabilities into the Developer Platform.
• Build and maintain integrations with AI IDE tools such as Cursor, Bolt.new, and Firebase Studio.
• Work with leading foundation models (OpenAI, Gemini) and similar providers.
• Fine-tune and adapt AI models and integrate them with Reddit systems to address creators' needs.
• Develop toolchains for agentic development, leveraging protocols like MCP to enable AI agents to interact with Reddit tools and services.
• Engage directly with developer and creator communities to gather feedback, drive adoption, and enable rapid prototyping workflows.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in JavaScript and the web toolchain.
• Experience using novel AI IDEs and associated toolchains (e.g., Cursor, Bolt.new, Firebase Studio).
• Experience working with and deploying foundation model providers such as OpenAI or Gemini.
• Experience or familiarity with model fine-tuning and adapting models to specific product needs.
• Familiarity or interest in agentic development patterns and protocols (MCP mentioned).
• Interest in game development and creative spaces is a plus.
• This role is fully remote friendly; qualified candidates must be located in the United States or Canada. Optional office space is available in New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Toronto.

Pay Transparency

• Base pay range for US-based candidates: $190,800 - $267,100 USD (this role may span more than one career level). In addition to base salary, eligible candidates may receive equity (RSUs) and, depending on position, commission.
