Role overview
As part of the API DevX team, you will be the architect of the "client journey." From reimagining our Developer Portal to automating SDK generation and enforcing API standards via OpenAPI and GraphQL, your work ensures that integrating with Bloomberg is a seamless, interactive, and high-quality experience. This includes ensuring documentation and capabilities are understandable by both human and agentic users.
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead the evolution of our Client Experience Portal — a consumer-scale application where performance, stability, and interactivity are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Architect and own critical components of the API Portal and underlying DevX infrastructure.
- Build high-performance frontend features including server-side rendering (SSR), CDN integration, and highly interactive sandbox functionality.
- Implement API governance tooling to ensure spec compliance and high-quality automated documentation as part of API CI/CD.
- Automate SDK generation and maintenance to provide a seamless developer experience.
- Drive the full development lifecycle: gather requirements with Product Managers, design, implement, and deploy globally distributed services.
- Mentor peers, provide code reviews, and provide technical leadership within an Agile, multi-disciplinary team.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience with an object-oriented language (Python, Go, or TypeScript preferred).
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience building and scaling consumer-facing web applications (full-stack mastery).
- Strong understanding of system design and distributed systems; ability to architect scalable solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both engineering peers and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with API documentation tools (Swagger/ReDoc) or building developer playgrounds.
- Contributions to open source or experience publishing libraries/artifacts.
- Familiarity with Temporal or other workflow engines for automation.
- Passion for API Design-First principles and governance.

Compensation & benefits
Salary Range: 160,000 - 240,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting and actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
