Many roles are remote-first but not remote-only; in-person participation is required throughout the year (team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually and attendance is expected and supported).

Responsibilities

• Build new backend services to meet critical product and business needs using Golang.
• Design scalable systems to solve novel problems using modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
• Articulate a long term vision for maintaining and scaling backend systems and the teams running them.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn product and technical vision into a tangible quarterly roadmap.
• Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of customers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience designing, building, scaling and maintaining production services and composing a service-oriented architecture.
• Ability to write high quality, well tested code.
• Passion for building an open financial system.

Nice to haves

• Experience through rapid company growth (startup to mid-size).
• Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks.
• Experience with blockchain technologies (Bitcoin, Ethereum) and onchain activity (interacting with Ethereum addresses, ENS, dApps).
• Experience decomposing a large monolith into microservices.
• Experience with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB or DynamoDB.
• Experience building financial, high reliability or security-critical systems.

Pay & Compensation

• Pay Range: $186,005 — $218,900 USD (target annual salary depending on work location). Full time offers also include target bonus, target equity, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).

Location & Work Policy

• Role is listed as remote-first (#LI-Remote). In-person participation is required periodically for team/company offsites and collaboration.
