As a senior backend engineer on Platform you will build the next generation of crypto-forward products and features, solving large-scale, complex technical problems that bridge web-scale application constraints and blockchain technology.

Location: Remote-first (in-person participation required throughout the year)

Responsibilities

• Build new services to meet critical product and business needs using Golang.
• Design scalable systems to solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
• Articulate a long term vision for maintaining and scaling backend systems and the teams running them.
• Work with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to turn product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
• Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience designing, building, scaling and maintaining production services; familiarity composing a service-oriented architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to write high quality, well tested code.
• Passion for building an open financial system and familiarity with crypto and blockchain concepts is valued.

Nice to have

• Experience with rapid company growth (startup to mid-size).
• Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks.
• Experience with Blockchain technology (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum).
• Experience decomposing a large monolith into microservices.
• Experience with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB or DynamoDB.
• Experience building financial, high-reliability or security-critical systems.
• Crypto-forward experience, including interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or other blockchain-based services.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range (depending on work location): $186,065 — $218,900 USD (target annual salary). Full-time offers also include bonus eligibility, equity eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).
