Responsibilities

  • Build the technical strategy and evolve Airbnb’s developer infrastructure to improve Developer Experience, Developer Velocity, Debuggability, Resilience, and Reliability while reducing cost.
  • Partner with engineering leaders across Airbnb teams for adoption of new capabilities.
  • Act as a player/coach in a high-performance team to ensure code quality, craftsmanship, and operational excellence.
  • Deliver secure, efficient, mature, and highly available frameworks and platforms to abstract infrastructure complexity.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure engineers to build a scalable foundation for Airbnb’s technical growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry or relevant academic experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading and shipping large technical projects collaboratively with multiple engineers.
  • Full-cycle developer experience building and operating high-scale, distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with container and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within and across teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Passionate about developer productivity and improving developer workflows.

Location

  • US - Remote Eligible, must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
  • May include occasional office work or offsite attendance.

Benefits

  • Base pay range from $191,000 to $225,000 USD.
  • Eligibility for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
