  • Develop robust methods for analyzing sophisticated, unstructured testing with real-world driving
  • Deliver metric systems, dashboards, and analysis tools to drive product decisions
  • Apply data science methods such as debiasing, sampling, and exposure modeling to ensure accurate critical metrics
  • Collaborate closely with simulation, infrastructure, operations, and engineering teams to embed metrics in daily workflows
  • Integrate on-road performance with upstream simulation efforts ensuring alignment between real-world outcomes and test coverage
  • Influence metric adoption and alignment across teams through clear and consistent technical mentorship

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and Data Science roles
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience in developing critical metrics systems or data products for complex, real-world or ML-based systems
  • Hands-on application of statistical techniques including debiasing, sampling, exposure control, or experimental design
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and scalable data tools such as Spark and BigQuery
  • Strong product focus on usability and measurable impact
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across technical teams
  • Ability to clearly articulate evaluation reasoning and results to both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or simulation domains
  • Experience with simulation feedback loops tied to real-world performance
  • Familiarity with performance validation for safety-critical systems in unstructured environments
  • Exposure to labeling pipelines or automated evaluation tooling, including human-labeled and automated critical metrics
  • Experience taking ownership of a data science workstream from strategy through implementation involving multi-functional coordination

Benefits

  • Highly competitive salary range between $148,000 and $287,500 USD based on location, experience, and similar employee pay
  • Eligibility for equity and comprehensive benefits
  • Opportunity to work with some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the technology industry
  • Commitment to fostering diversity and equal opportunity employment
