The Growth organization builds and leverages growth tools across referral and incentives programs, notifications, logged-out web experiences, and new-user onboarding flows to make Coinbase the easiest, safest, and fastest way to buy, hold, and trade crypto assets.

This team is seeking experienced Frontend engineers to build the next generation of crypto-forward products and features. You will solve large-scale, complex technical problems that bridge web-scale application constraints and blockchain technology. You will help build systems that operate real-time applications with high frequency, low latency updates, and manage secure infrastructure running in the cloud. In-person participation is required throughout the year for team and company offsites, although many roles are remote-first.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement user-facing features for growth-oriented consumer experiences (web and/or mobile) using component-based UI frameworks.
• Build and operate real-time, high-frequency, low-latency applications at scale.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers across product and design lifecycles.
• Produce high-quality, well-tested, extensible frontend code and contribute to frontend architecture and best practices.
• Lead and land meaningful projects; act as a subject-matter expert and mentor teammates.
• Work within secure, cloud-based infrastructure and ensure high availability for financial-grade systems.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience developing web and/or mobile applications and shipping user-facing features with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Demonstrated experience with component-based UI frameworks and frontend architecture.
• Strong collaboration skills working closely with designers, engineers, and product managers.
• Proven track record of writing well-tested, extensible code and delivering production-quality projects.
• Comfortable working on high-availability, performance-sensitive systems (real-time/low-latency) and cloud infrastructure.
• Passion for crypto and blockchain technology; answers to crypto-related questions may be used to evaluate onchain experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience launching new products from 0 to 1 at scale.
• Experience with growth engineering or other similar high-availability financial systems.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $186,065—$218,900 USD (target annual salary; full-time offers also include bonus eligibility, equity eligibility, and benefits).
