Coinbase is seeking experienced frontend engineers to join our team to build out the next generation of crypto-forward products and features. You will help build the next generation of systems to make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone across the globe.
The Consumer Product Group engineers strive to make the Coinbase retail app the easiest-to-use and fastest experience for accessing crypto. Suite of products include: Coinbase app, advanced trade, dapps, and staking. While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only; in-person participation is required throughout the year for team and company-wide offsites. #LI-Remote

Responsibilities
- Design secure and highly reliable services to integrate with blockchains and add new cryptocurrency assets to Coinbase, Pro, Custody and other business units.
- Build a mass-market interface for digital currency apps by adding new functionality to existing cryptocurrencies (e.g., staking, voting, predicting).
- Write infrastructural services that provide secure storage, accounting and transactional services to help customers transfer assets safely.
- Work with engineers, product managers and senior leadership to turn product vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
- Contribute positively to team culture and foster inclusion in meetings and collaborations.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering and at least 4 years developing web apps and shipping user-facing features with JavaScript and modern, component-based JS frameworks like React.
- Experience developing and shipping user-facing features using component-based UI frameworks.
- Familiarity with current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, security and usability.
- Comfortable collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and product managers throughout product and design lifecycles.
- Write high quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs.
Nice to haves
- Experience on front-end teams in the finance or security space.
- At least 1 year of experience in developing React Native mobile apps or migrating native apps to React Native.
- Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services.
- Note: Answers to crypto-related questions may be used to evaluate onchain experience.
Compensation
- Pay Range: $186,005 — $218,900 USD (target bonus + target equity + benefits also included in full-time offers).
Location & Work Policy
- Remote-first role with expectations for in-person participation throughout the year; company and team offsites held multiple times annually. The posting is indicated as remote (#LI-Remote).
