NVIDIA has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for more than 25 years. The company is focused on the next era of computing powered by AI and GPUs. This role is on the Game Engines and Core Technology team and targets experienced C++ programmers who are authorities in modern real-time graphics algorithms and comfortable working with and extending game engines (especially Unreal Engine).
Responsibilities
- Provide support to NVIDIA's game engine partners, with a focus on Unreal Engine.
- Invent, improve, and optimize next-generation graphics algorithms on NVIDIA platforms.
- Integrate new algorithms into Unreal Engine through engine modifications and plugins.
- Build algorithmic solutions to complex technical challenges in gaming.
- Interact closely with internal architecture and driver teams to shape the future of NVIDIA platforms for games.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Computer Science related field (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years of experience.
- Experience with the Unreal Engine.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English.
- Solid understanding of 3D graphics and GPU technologies, including shaders, shading languages, and rendering techniques.
- Strong knowledge of C++ and programming techniques.
- Experience optimizing graphics algorithms for performance.
- DirectX or OpenGL development experience.
- Knowledge of computer architecture, especially GPU architectures.
- Experience in game development is a major plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary ranges (determined by location, experience, and comparable roles):
- Level 4: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD
- Level 5: 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD
