Details

NVIDIA is seeking an exceptional Senior System Software Engineer to join the GPU System Software team. The team develops comprehensive system software solutions from concept to production. This role oversees the lifecycle of GPU feature development, including proof of concept, design, architecture, algorithm implementation, and pre/post-SI optimization. The primary focus is on display features utilizing both hardware and software architectures to deliver energy-efficient consumer products.

Responsibilities

  • Define, proof-of-concept, design, and develop display features based on VESA DisplayPort standards (including DP 2.1), HDMI, and eDP.
  • Drive and resolve complex optimization strategies independently across multiple teams and technical disciplines.
  • Influence next-generation GPU/SoC and platform architecture by creating internal architecture and design specifications.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with local and remote teams and drive interaction with OEM/ODM partners.
  • Work closely with hardware designers and other driver engineers to create new features and solutions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of industry experience in system software or a related field.
  • B.S. or higher degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong programming skills in C.
  • Solid background in operating system internals, device drivers, real-time embedded operating systems, algorithms, and data structures.
  • In-depth knowledge of low-level display pipeline fundamentals (VESA, HDMI, DP, eDP, PSR, FreeSync).
  • Ability to work closely with hardware designers and other engineers to develop features and optimizations.

Ways to Stand Out

  • Architecture and design experience in SoC/GPU software display, power management, and optimization.
  • Prior experience in display technologies (VESA DP, eDP, HDMI) and SW/HW optimizations.
  • Hands-on experience with system software, kernel modules, and device drivers.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary ranges by level:
    • Level 4: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD
    • Level 5: 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD
