NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer focused on graphics performance to design, develop, and deliver performance enhancements for GPU drivers on current and future Linux platforms. The role sits on the Graphics driver team and involves close collaboration with internal teams across software, hardware, architecture, and OEM support.

Responsibilities

  • Define, design, and develop pioneering professional and consumer Linux Vulkan and OpenGL graphics software performance features.
  • Develop and maintain software technologies that enable and support NVIDIA GPU hardware on Linux, ensuring best performance and cross-platform implementation.
  • Work with worldwide internal teams including software, hardware, architecture, and OEM support to deliver high-quality driver performance improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • 4+ years hands-on experience developing OpenGL/Vulkan system-level software, especially for Linux.
  • 4+ years experience in graphics rendering, shader programming, compilers, and optimizations.
  • 8+ years of programming experience in C and C++.
  • Low-level Linux operating system knowledge, specifically memory/resource management, scheduling and process control, and hardware virtualization.
  • Very good oral and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated teammate with a good attitude.

  • Competitive base salary range: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD (base salary will be determined based on location, experience, and peer pay).
