Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.

The Listing Backend Onboarding and Management team's mission is to enable Host journey success by implementing the backend functionality to power the main tools that our Hosts use to create and manage our Stays and Experiences. The team works closely with the Client Engineering, Product Management, and Design teams to define the requirements and bring them to life. This team also works closely with the functional teams (Partner API, User, Cohosting, Pricing, etc.) as they share dependencies related to the Listing domain. The Listings Backend Onboarding and Management is typically a core part of the biannual Airbnb releases, which directly contribute to the company’s success.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Client Engineering, Product Management, and Design teams to align on product requirements.
• Drive scoping, technical requirements, design, implementation, and operation of new functionality.
• Build high-quality, reusable backend components that power Host tools for creating and managing listings and experiences.
• Work closely with functional teams such as Partner API, User, Cohosting, Pricing to manage shared dependencies within the Listing domain.
• Mentor and support other engineers in the team or in related teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years industry experience.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Experience building high-quality, consumer-facing products.
• Ability to evaluate technical approaches and design product solutions to solve real-world problems.
• Ability to drive alignment, manage projects, and effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.

Location & Work Arrangement

• This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
• You must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity. If your position is employed by another Airbnb entity, your recruiter will inform you what states you are eligible to work from.
• Offices: United States

Pay Range & Compensation

• Base pay range: $195,000—$220,000 USD.
• This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
