Details
Join NVIDIA's Solution Engineering team, which is shaping the future of autonomous machines by building and deploying scalable robotic solutions and enabling the next generation of AI robots. The team is hands-on, focused on practical results, and values diversity.
You will help craft the application software architecture by working closely with external partners developing on NVIDIA's robotics platform and with multiple NVIDIA teams working on autonomous machines. You will also advance and refine the functional capability and quality of the overall solution, focusing on integration challenges and applying deep analytical skills to develop effective and optimal solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build and drive the application architecture internally, with a focus on humanoid robotics, by collaborating closely with architecture and software development teams.
- Scale the deployment and integration of robust and performant implementations of new technologies spanning whole-body controller and manipulation algorithms into solutions and products.
- Integrate hardware and software components efficiently and develop scalable software solutions.
- Lead profiling, benchmarking, and evaluation activities for verification.
- Provide deep technical guidance and strategies to resolve functional and system performance issues while working with internal and external partner teams.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams in the United States, APAC, and Europe to deploy solutions to customers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of work-related experience in software development related to robotics.
- Bachelor's degree, master's degree, or equivalent experience in computer science, robotics, computer engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record developing software products in machine learning and reinforcement learning, hands-on physical robot experience, and/or publications in robotics conferences such as RSS, CoRL, ICRA, IROS, or NeurIPS.
- Established proficiency in application development and scalability for autonomous machines, with familiarity with robotics- or automotive-related middleware frameworks.
- Experience with robot simulation platforms and simulation-based reinforcement learning for training and validating robotic systems. Hands-on experience transferring reinforcement learning policies from simulation to real-world systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in Python and C/C++. Experience with GPU programming or CUDA is a strong plus.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and platforms.
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced development lifecycles and multifunctional organizations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with real-world robotic systems and humanoid robot or mobile manipulator hardware, particularly in loco-manipulation and dexterous hand manipulation tasks.
- Experience with ROS 2, Isaac Sim, and Isaac Lab or equivalent technologies.
- Understanding of NVIDIA Isaac, NVIDIA GPU hardware, and CUDA.
- Contributions to or ownership of open-source projects and experience mentoring others.
