NVIDIA is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help shape the future of XR (glasses, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Spatial Computing). The role combines AI and systems expertise with technical leadership to scale NVIDIA's XR efforts across AI, robotics, media streaming and networking.

Responsibilities

  • Apply AI, graphics, networking and computer vision techniques to improve glasses, AR, VR and Spatial Computing systems.
  • Engage in cross-platform development using C++ and Python.
  • Create innovative designs and algorithms to power new AI and robotics systems.
  • Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams working on AI, robotics, media streaming and networking to deliver production-quality systems.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Over 8 years of experience in a similar or related role.
  • Significant experience in C++.
  • Practical experience solving real-world problems in at least one of: AI, real-time rendering, media streaming, or networking.
  • Extensive experience working in large-scale code bases and projects.
  • Strong team player and collaborator.

Ways to stand out:

  • Experience with XR development (augmented reality, virtual reality, or spatial computing) in form factors such as glasses, headsets or smartphones.
  • Experience with game engines like Unreal and Unity.
  • Background in GPU, framerate and latency optimization.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary ranges (determined by location, experience, and internal pay equity):
    • Level 4: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD
    • Level 5: 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD
