Senior Software Security Engineer

NVIDIA Product Security Team is seeking a passionate and innovative Security Engineer willing to join hands with the Software Engineering teams to engage directly with Platform Development teams to operationalize common security solutions in their disparate environments. They build several security platforms and integrate third-party solutions to catalog NVIDIA programs, detect vulnerabilities, drive remediation response, securely deploy into cloud environments, and innovate to meet the scale and demand of all NVIDIA’s product teams. The goal is to provide key security solutions for the organization.

Responsibilities

• Work within various Platform Development teams to stand up automated security scanning, analysis, and signing pipelines.
• Act as an intermediary and guide to teams on security requirements and pre-vetted solutions based on the build system, repository, and pipelines used.
• Advocate for teams' unique requirements to improve platforms and services.
• Develop the overall security playbook for teams to empower future secure development.
• Engage with groundbreaking technology as part of day-to-day development.
• Collaborate directly with software developers to understand their needs and design security systems and solutions that enable developers to operate more effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, SecDevOps or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years working experience in Security Engineering, developer operations role, or SecDevOps role.
• 5+ years of confirmed software design or development operations capabilities in build or standup of end-to-end applications, infrastructure, and automation frameworks at large scale.
• Experience implementing object-oriented languages for distributed environments, specifically Python and Golang.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs.
• Background with designing reports from scalable databases or datastores such as MySQL, noSQL DB, or equivalent SQL technology.
• Experience deploying to cloud technologies/infrastructure.
• Experience with scalable, available, and low-latency systems such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and standard methodologies for the software development process, including documentation, task management, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, operations, and generation of critical metrics.
• Background working in an Agile SDLC.

• Understanding of Dependency Managers.
• Experience integrating solutions in build pipelines.
• Knowledge of vulnerability reporting through CVE.

Benefits

The base salary range is 136,000 USD - 264,500 USD. Base salary determination is based on location, experience, and pay of employees in similar positions. Eligible for equity and benefits.
