The Automotive Vehicles team is searching for a creative and expert Software Systems Engineer to help bring NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle solution to market. You will participate in a focused effort to develop and productize ground‑breaking solutions that will redefine transportation and the growing field of self‑driving cars. You will work with multi‑functional engineering teams across vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our AV software platform while achieving or exceeding NVIDIA and automotive standards and guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive, stable, traceable requirements to enable algorithm development with clear performance goals.
- Communicate data analysis to provide product and engineering teams with the information needed to evaluate design decisions.
- Collaborate with road infrastructure stakeholders globally to develop requirements and SysML models for delivering functionality across sophisticated systems.
- Manage requirements for needed assets with OEM partners to ensure stable, extensible, class‑leading features.
- Analyze and compare the impact of Operational Design Domains (ODDs) on performance metrics, translating data and analysis into recommendations.
- Prototype and pilot new or improved processes to unblock product execution and mature them toward automation or delegation.
Requirements
- BS or MS (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, robotics, systems analysis, data analysis, or statistical analysis.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to drive alignment across large organizations.
- Experience developing traceable requirements, SysML modeling, and working with OEM partners.
- Comfortable communicating technical analysis and translating data into actionable recommendations.
Ways to stand out
- Experience with autonomous vehicles and/or machine learning.
- Experience working with large datasets and proficiency in SQL and Python or C++.
- Experience with startups and/or early‑stage products.
Benefits
- Base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and comparable pay. The base salary range is 148,000 USD - 235,750 USD for Level 3, and 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4.
