Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company with a large global user base for observability and visualization tools. This role is for a Senior Solutions Architect (Professional Services) focused on helping customers onboard, implement, and expand Grafana-based observability solutions. The role is highly hands-on and customer-facing, blending deep technical work with strategic consulting.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted technical partner to customers during onboarding, implementation, and expansion phases.
- Work with customers (business executives, project managers, IT/development staff) to understand business needs and translate them into technical and business requirements.
- Design solutions for data visualization, workflow recommendations, migrations, and enterprise-scale architectures.
- Lead functional workshops, document requirements, and design appropriate solutions.
- Deliver high-impact training, jumpstart engagements, and tailored technical consulting.
- Provide roadmap assurance, guide project execution, and ensure Grafana capabilities align with customer architecture and goals.
- Identify recurring issues, monitor support needs, and advocate for product improvements with internal teams.
- Stay current on Grafana products, observability (o11y) best practices, and related technologies.
Requirements
- Must be located in the PST time zone.
- 5+ years of experience working on deployment teams and using project management techniques.
- Direct experience with observability (o11y) and best practices for deploying an o11y stack (visualization, alerting, metrics, logs, traces).
- Experience with Grafana products and related stack elements (Grafana, Prometheus / Cortex / enterprise metrics, Loki / enterprise logs, Jaeger / Tempo tracing).
- Proven track record delivering customer projects, preferably enterprise observability implementations for large customers.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Kubernetes experience (kubectl; Helm and Tanka preferred).
- Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure.

Compensation & Rewards
- US base compensation range: $184,000 - $221,000 (base). Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset.
- All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
