This role is for a Senior Solutions Architect (Professional Services) on the Customer Experience team. It is a highly hands-on, customer-facing technical role focused on helping customers solve complex problems, accelerate adoption, and drive business outcomes with Grafana. You will act as a trusted technical partner, guiding onboarding, implementation, and expansion while providing white-glove support, best practices, and technical consulting.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted technical partner for customers—not a quota-carrying seller—helping with onboarding, implementation, and expansion.
- Work with customers including business executives, project managers, and IT development staff to understand needs and translate them into business and technical requirements.
- Design solutions for data visualization, workflow recommendations, migrations, and enterprise scale architecture.
- Lead functional workshops with customers, document requirements, and design appropriate solutions.
- Deliver high-impact training, jumpstart engagements, and tailored consulting.
- Provide roadmap assurance, guide project execution, and ensure Grafana aligns with customer architecture and goals.
- Identify recurring issues, monitor support needs, and advocate for product improvements with internal teams.
- Stay current on Grafana Labs products, observability, and related technologies.
- Be a key resource for Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Support, and Professional Services.
Requirements
- Located in Germany (this role is for candidates based in Germany).
- 5+ years of experience working on deployment teams, using project management techniques.
- Direct experience with observability (o11y).
- Best practices for using and deploying an observability stack (visualization, alerting, metrics, logs, traces) — preferably with Grafana products (Grafana, Prometheus/Cortex/Enterprise Metrics, Loki/Enterprise Logs, Jaeger/Tempo).
- Proven track record of successful delivery of customer projects, preferably enterprise observability implementations for large customers.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (kubectl; Helm and Tanka preferred).
- Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base compensation range in Germany: 109,000 EUR - 131,600 EUR. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset. All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
