Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company that builds observability tooling used by millions worldwide. This role sits on the Professional Services / Customer Experience team and is a highly hands-on, customer-facing technical role focused on driving adoption, implementation, and measurable outcomes using Grafana and related observability technologies.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted technical partner during onboarding, implementation, and expansion engagements.
- Provide white-glove technical consulting, training, and jumpstart engagements that accelerate customer success.
- Work closely with customers (business executives, project managers, and IT/development teams) to understand business needs and translate them into technical and business requirements.
- Design solutions for data visualization, workflows, migrations, and enterprise-scale observability architectures.
- Lead functional workshops, document requirements, and produce architecture and deployment designs.
- Troubleshoot complex technical problems from the command line and unblock customer teams.
- Advocate for best practices and standards; identify recurring issues and collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Support to improve products and offerings.
- Stay current on Grafana Labs products, observability patterns, and related technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working on deployment teams and applying project management techniques.
- Direct experience with observability (o11y) and best practices across visualization, alerting, metrics, logs, and traces.
- Practical experience with Grafana products and the observability stack (Grafana, Prometheus/Cortex/Enterprise Metrics, Loki/Enterprise Logs, Jaeger/Tempo).
- Proven track record delivering customer projects, preferably enterprise observability implementations for large customers.
- Experience with Kubernetes (kubectl; Helm and Tanka preferred).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Strong communication skills and customer-facing experience.
- Self-starter mentality and aptitude for learning new skills and technologies.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, nimble team that accelerates solution delivery.
Compensation & Other Details
- United States base compensation range: $180,000 - $205,000 (base). Actual compensation may vary by level, experience, and skillset.
- All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) as part of total compensation.
- Grafana Labs is a remote-first / remote-only company and emphasizes a global, collaborative culture.
- In-person onboarding is provided. Global annual leave policy of 30 days per annum (3 days reserved for Grafana Shutdown Days), with compliance to local legislation where applicable.
