- Craft detailed requirements for infrastructure patterns and datacenter-wide architectures
- Create and validate cluster designs, optimizing them for enterprise facilities
- Collaborate closely with experts in compute, software, and storage to drive innovation
- Lead multi-disciplinary projects and address high-level technical challenges
- Engineer on-premises cloud-native solutions that integrate with diverse cloud providers
- Serve as a pivotal domain expert for compute and hardware architecture
- Apply multidisciplinary understanding of Ethernet, InfiniBand, data center LAN, WAN, WiFi, and software-defined networks
- Conduct Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis to optimize datacenter efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of hardware or infrastructure architecture experience
- Proven proficiency in cluster design for on-prem cloud-native platforms
- Strong architectural design skills in advanced networking with emphasis on scalability, portability, security, and resilience
- Experience evaluating diverse networks and researching their behavior under varied workloads
- Deep knowledge of cloud-native architecture concepts and practices (high availability, scalability, resilience, performance, security) in the compute domain
- Mastery of networking patterns at chassis, rack, cluster, and data center levels for reference architectures
- Technical leadership experience in cluster design, including networking setup, network management solutions, and network-specific security and remote access approaches
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- System-level thinking and demonstrated impact of network design on overall cluster reference quality
Ways to stand out
- Relevant vendor networking certifications (Cisco, Arista Cloud Engineer (ACE), Juniper)
- Broader infrastructure expertise beyond networking: compute, storage, platform sizing, and infrastructure cost reduction
- Strong TCO analysis skills focused on datacenter architectures
Benefits
- Competitive base salary (see ranges below by level)
- Eligibility for equity and benefits
