This role requires becoming a trusted technical advisor and leader to our customers who believe that accelerated computing and artificial intelligence has the potential to transform the entire healthcare domain.
You’ll craft groundbreaking proof-of-concept demonstrations and forge strategic relationships with key executives to champion the integration of accelerated computing, whether at the edge or in the cloud. By engaging with a diverse group of developers, researchers, data scientists, and IT leaders, you’ll not only contribute to meaningful projects but also help shape the narrative of AI in healthcare. The ideal candidate is passionate about AI and accelerated computing in medical devices and robotics, possesses industry experience in medical device or robotics development, and is enthusiastic about working with innovative technologies and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business/account teams and customers to understand goals, strategies, and technical needs; define and deliver high-value solutions.
- Optimize workloads using NVIDIA’s computing platform.
- Design NVIDIA hardware/software into a new generation of software-defined medical devices.
- Stay up to date on state-of-the-art image analysis, sensor processing, robotics, and surgical data science and apply advancements to customer needs.
- Document knowledge and teach others: build partner trainings, write whitepapers, blogs, and wiki articles, and collaborate with customers on technical problems.
- Partner strategically with lighthouse customers and industry-specific solution partners targeting NVIDIA’s computing platform.
- Use conferencing tools heavily and travel as required to engage with customers.
Requirements
- MS, PhD, or equivalent experience in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or closely related fields.
- 5+ years of work-related experience in software development, machine learning, or high-performance computing.
- Scientific computing experience including software development in scientific programming languages like C/C++, Python, and/or CUDA.
- Understanding of how to apply multimodal and generative AI to answer scientific questions.
- Experience with modern deep learning software architecture and frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in presenting highly technical material.
- Enjoy interacting with forward-thinking people, lifelong learning, and staying on the cutting edge of the domain.
Ways to Stand Out
- Hands-on experience applying accelerated computing and AI in medical imaging, medical robotics, or digital surgery.
- Experience with medical device development lifecycle or Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).
- Extensive deep learning knowledge with practical experience in relevant model architectures (e.g., CNNs, LLMs, VLMs, VLAs), training robotic policies, and training from simulation / Digital Twins.
- Proficiency in deploying AI models and optimizing inference using TensorRT, ONNX Runtime, Triton, or TensorRT-LLM.
- Published record of thought leadership in a technical area or industry segment.
Compensation & Benefits
Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 148,000 USD - 235,750 USD for Level 3, and 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits (see NVIDIA benefits page).
