NVIDIA networking designs and manufactures high-performance networking equipment that enable the most powerful supercomputers in the largest data centers in the world. With a distributed collection of NVIDIA GPUs interconnected by networking solutions such as InfiniBand, Ethernet, or RoCE (RDMA over Converged Ethernet) we make powerful ML/AI platforms possible. We are seeking motivated, personable, and independent individuals to join our team.

We seek experienced software embedded engineers to help support our groundbreaking, innovative technologies that make AI workloads in large clusters even more performant. As a networking Senior Solutions Architect at NVIDIA you will have agency and palpable effects on the business, and work closely with customers and R&D teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support networking technologies such as Spectrum-X and work with customers on their technical challenges and requirements using said technologies during pre-sales activities.
  • Develop proof-of-concept materials for innovative technologies for use by early adopters.
  • Gain customers' trust and understand their needs to help design and deploy NVIDIA networking platforms to run AI and HPC workloads.
  • Address sophisticated and highly visible customer issues.
  • Work closely with R&D teams to develop new features for customers.
  • Help define product requirements alongside engineering and product marketing.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience with real-time embedded computer software.
  • Strong knowledge of the Linux kernel, Linux environment, and Linux networking.
  • Experience with Ethernet and IP protocols.
  • B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • Extensive experience debugging complex issues and strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and directly with customers.
  • Proven experience with firmware-level code development for networking products.
  • Background with sideband management protocols including NC-SI (Network Controller Sideband Interface), MCTP (Management Component Transport Protocol), and RMII (Remote Management Interface).

Ways to stand out

  • Coding development experience across multiple languages, from low-level C to higher-level languages such as Perl, Python, and shell scripting.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and AI workflows.
  • Familiarity with NVIDIA DPUs, RoCE, and RDMA concepts.
  • Experience with InfiniBand and high-performance networking concepts.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary ranges by level: Level 4: 184000 USD - 287500 USD; Level 5: 224000 USD - 356500 USD.
