Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company with more than 20M users of Grafana. The company helps customers manage observability with the Grafana stack (Grafana Cloud or Grafana Enterprise Stack), including scalable metrics (Grafana Mimir), logs (Grafana Loki), and traces (Grafana Tempo). This role is an individual contributor, hands-on Solutions Architect on the Customer Experience team focused on professional services, onboarding, implementation, and adoption of Grafana and related observability technologies.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted technical partner and customer-first advocate during onboarding, implementation, and expansion engagements.
- Work directly with customers (business executives, project managers, IT/development staff) to understand business needs and translate them into business and technical requirements.
- Design solutions for data visualization, alerting, metrics, logs, traces, workflow recommendations, migrations, and enterprise-scale architecture.
- Lead functional workshops with customers, document requirements, and design appropriate solutions.
- Provide white-glove support, training, jumpstart engagements, and tailored technical consulting to accelerate customer outcomes.
- Operate with one foot in code and the other in the customer’s environment: troubleshoot via command line, clarify differences between logs/metrics/traces, and fine-tune Prometheus queries.
- Identify recurring issues, monitor support needs, and advocate for product improvements in close collaboration with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Support, and Professional Services.
- Stay current on Grafana Labs products, observability practices, and related technologies; be an advocate for standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Located in the UK.
- 5+ years of experience working on deployment teams, using project management techniques.
- Direct experience with observability (o11y) and best practices for deploying and using an o11y stack (visualization, alerting, metrics, logs, traces). Preferably experience with Grafana products: Grafana, Prometheus/Cortex/Enterprise Metrics, Loki/Enterprise Logs, Jaeger/Tempo.
- Proven track record delivering customer projects, preferably enterprise observability implementations for large customers.
- Strong communication skills to work with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Kubernetes experience (kubectl; Helm and Tanka preferred).
- Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure.
- Comfortable working in command line environments and troubleshooting complex technical landscapes.
- Passion for open-source software and customer-facing, consultative delivery.

Compensation & Rewards
- UK base compensation range: £103,900 - £124,500 (actual compensation may vary by level, experience, and skillset). Roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
- 100% remote, global culture. In-person onboarding is provided.
- Global annual leave policy: 30 days per annum (3 days reserved for Grafana Shutdown Days), with compliance to local legislation where applicable.
