Senior Solutions Engineer

Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company that builds observability tooling used by millions globally. The Solutions Engineering team are customer-facing product experts who enable Grafana Labs' growth by educating potential and existing customers through demos, hands-on enablement, presentations, technical evaluations and ongoing interaction. This role partners closely with Sales and serves as a conduit between customers and Product/Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision and strategy to customers.
• Own technical engagement with customers and help close complex opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical skill and credibility.
• Deliver product and technical presentations, demos, and hands-on enablement sessions for potential and existing customers.
• Conduct technical evaluations and drive product conversations based on customer needs and problems.
• Communicate feedback from customers to internal Product Management and Engineering teams.
• Create and enhance documentation, knowledge base articles, blog posts, videos and other enablement material.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical pre-sales experience.
• Strong judgment, collaboration and leadership; comfortable with various and complex assignments.
• First-class written and oral communication skills to work with remote internal teams and worldwide customers.
• Ability to listen to prospects/customers, understand requirements, ask the right questions and translate those into solutions using Grafana Labs technology.
• A technical mindset and desire to grow technically.
• Must be located in Switzerland.

Bonus

• Experience with open source technologies or in the metrics/monitoring space.
• Experience with sales methodologies such as MEDD(P)ICC.

Compensation & Rewards

• In Switzerland the OTE (On-Target Earnings) compensation range for this role is CHF 198,000 - CHF 236,000. Actual compensation may vary by level, experience and skillset. All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
