The Solutions Engineering team are the customer-facing product experts who enable Grafana Labs' worldwide growth by educating potential and existing customers to ensure they are happy and successful. Solutions Engineers share technical and product expertise through demos, hands-on enablement, presentations, technical evaluations, and ongoing interaction. They partner closely with Sales to help qualify and close opportunities and act as a primary route of communication between customers and Product Management and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Sales team to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
• Own the technical engagement with customers and help close complex opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
• Deliver product and technical presentations, demos, and hands-on enablement to potential and existing customers.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to provide feedback on products and the competitive landscape.
• Drive product conversations based on customer needs and problems.
• Contribute to documentation, blog posts, videos, knowledge base articles, and other enablement materials.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical pre-sales / solutions engineering experience.
• Strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership; ability to handle various and complex assignments.
• First-class written and oral communication skills for collaborating with remote internal teams and worldwide customers; able to articulate value propositions and technical advantages.
• A technical mindset with a desire to grow technically and solve technical challenges; ability to translate customer requirements into solutions using Grafana technology.
• Must be located in the United Kingdom.

Bonus

• Experience with open source technologies and/or the metrics/monitoring space.
• Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDD(P)ICC.

Benefits & Compensation

• UK OTE (On-Target Earnings) compensation range: £122,000 - £146,000 (actual compensation may vary by level, experience, and skillset). Roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
