Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company that builds observability tools used by millions worldwide. The Solutions Engineering team are the customer-facing product experts who enable Grafana Labs' growth by educating potential and existing customers through demos, hands-on enablement, presentations, technical evaluations and ongoing interaction. Solutions Engineers partner closely with Sales to qualify and close opportunities and act as a primary route of communication from customers to Product Management and Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Sales team to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision and strategy to customers.
- Own technical engagement with customers and help close complex opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical skill and credibility.
- Deliver product and technical presentations and demos to potential and existing customers.
- Conduct hands-on enablement, technical evaluations, and ongoing customer interactions.
- Communicate customer feedback and competitive landscape insights to internal teams (Product Management and Engineering).
- Drive product conversations based on customer needs and problems.
- Contribute to documentation, blog posts, videos, knowledge-base articles and other enablement materials.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical pre-sales (Solutions Engineering) experience.
- Must be located in Sweden.
- Strong judgment, collaboration and leadership skills; comfortable with complex and varied assignments.
- First-class written and oral communication skills for collaborating with remote internal teams and worldwide customers.
- Ability to listen to customers, extract requirements, ask the right questions and translate those into solutions using Grafana technology.
- Technical mindset and a desire to grow technically.
Nice to Have / Bonus
- Experience with open source technologies or in the metrics/monitoring space.
- Experience with sales methodologies such as MEDD(P)ICC.
Compensation & Rewards
- For Germany, the OTE compensation range for this role is SEK 1,119,000 - SEK 1,343,000. Actual compensation may vary by level, experience and local market.
- All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
