Senior Solutions Engineer | UK | Remote

Details

Grafana Labs is a remote-first, open-source company with a global user base and commercial product offerings including Grafana Cloud and Grafana Enterprise. The Solutions Engineering team are the customer-facing product experts who enable Grafana Labs' growth by educating potential and existing customers, running demos, performing technical evaluations, and partnering closely with Sales to qualify and close opportunities. This role owns technical engagement with customers, translates requirements into solutions using Grafana Labs technology, and acts as a bridge between customers, Sales, Product Management, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Sales team to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
• Own the technical engagement with customers and help close complex opportunities through advanced competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
• Deliver product and technical presentations, demos, and hands-on enablement to potential and existing customers.
• Conduct technical evaluations and effectively communicate customer feedback to internal teams (Product and Engineering).
• Drive product conversations based on customer needs and problems.
• Contribute to documentation and enablement materials: enhance docs, write blog posts, record videos, and create knowledge base articles.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical pre-sales experience.
• Must be located in the United Kingdom.
• Strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership abilities; able to take on complex and varied assignments.
• First-class written and oral communication skills for collaboration with remote internal teams and worldwide customers.
• Ability to listen, extract requirements, ask the right technical questions, and translate customer needs into solutions using Grafana Labs technology.
• A technical mindset with a desire to grow technically and solve challenging problems for customers.

Bonus Points

• Experience with open source technologies.
• Experience in the metrics/monitoring space.
• Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDD(P)ICC.

Compensation & Rewards

• UK OTE (On-Target Earnings) range: £122,000 - £146,000 (actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset).
• All roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
