Job Overview

Reddit seeks a Senior Staff Engineer as a technical leader for Small to Medium Business (SMB) Advertiser Growth. This role involves developing the technical foundation for mission-critical product pillars and collaborating across multiple teams to deliver outcomes for the Reddit Ads Business. The role demands setting engineering strategy to build iteratively, ship quickly, test rigorously, and add significant new capabilities to multiply the number of monthly active advertisers.

This is a pivotal position during Reddit's worldwide user growth phase.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to increase advertiser success through acquisition, activation, and retention of monthly active advertisers.
• Build and improve the technical foundation, selecting appropriate tools and technologies towards a shared engineering vision.
• Lead projects from concept to rollout ensuring high quality and performance.
• Innovate solutions toward ambitious growth goals.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, marketers, data scientists, sales, marketing teams, and others to provide end-to-end solutions for SMB advertisers.
• Mentor staff engineers and leaders, share industry knowledge, and foster technical growth of the team.

Requirements

• 7+ years professional experience as a Software Engineer with leadership on complex, impactful projects.
• 4+ years experience in B2B Growth product engineering, with expertise in experimentation, data-informed decisions, hypothesis design, and customer empathy.
• Leadership in full stack development teams.
• Proven record of delivery of high impact products.
• Expertise in designing, implementing, testing, and launching complex products and infrastructure changes.
• Strong delivery capabilities through direct work and team leadership.
• Excellent communication skills with experience engaging multiple teams and executive updates.

Compensation

Base salary range: $232,500 - $325,500 USD per year. Additional compensation includes equity in restricted stock units and possibly commissions depending on the role. Benefits package is extensive and outlined on Reddit's careers page.
