We are looking for a Senior GPU system and process scheduling architect to design the next generation GPU system interface. This role sits at the intersection of software and hardware and impacts AI and product lines ranging from consumer graphics to self-driving cars. You will work on a global architecture team to define the platform of tomorrow, create functional and performance models, and support post-silicon validation.
Responsibilities
- Understand how GPU sub-system modules interoperate and interact with the overall system.
- Architect and plan features in concert with software, hardware, and verification teams across the globe to implement the next iteration of GPUs.
- Create functional and performance models (often in C++), and develop test plans to validate designed features.
- Actively support post-silicon validation activities.
- Continuously learn and grow within a fast-paced, technology-focused environment.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Compute Architecture, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related degree β or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of meaningful work experience.
- Experience coding in C or C++ (C++ frequently used for modeling).
- Course work or industry experience in Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, and/or system architecture.
Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
- Knowledge of memory isolation and security, firmware, and process scheduling.
- Familiarity with graphics and GPU ecosystems and APIs: OpenGL, DirectX (DX), CUDA.
- Experience or awareness of DL/ML workloads and related considerations for GPUs.
- Interconnect and interface knowledge: PCIe, AXI, NVLink, CXL.
- Scripting knowledge (Perl or Python).
- Experience creating performance models and test plans; involvement in post-silicon validation.
Benefits and Additional Information
- Base salary is determined based on location, experience, and comparable employees.
- Base salary ranges provided: $184,000 - $287,500 USD for Level 4; $224,000 - $356,500 USD for Level 5.
