Details

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the GeForce NOW Engineering team to help build and guide the future of cloud gaming. GeForce NOW is NVIDIA’s cloud-based game streaming service delivering real-time gameplay from the cloud to laptops, desktops, Mac, SHIELD TV, iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. The role focuses on crafting low-latency, highly available RESTful cloud services and frameworks to support millions of gamers.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and implement scalable cloud-based systems for SaaS/PaaS.
  • Craft RESTful cloud services and frameworks with requirements for low latency and high availability.
  • Help drive the underlying technology stack and architectural direction.
  • Work closely with other teams on new products, features, and improvements of existing products.
  • Drive performance tuning and automation.
  • Support, maintain, and document software functionality.
  • Participate in on-call operations and incident management.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of hands-on software engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience programming with Java and/or Go.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cloud design in areas such as virtualization, global infrastructure, distributed systems, load balancing, and security.
  • Experience with front-end development (React, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Background with SDK development.
  • Experience with on-call, operations, and incident management practices.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery.
  • Experience with AWS services (examples given: Fargate, EKS, SQS, DynamoDB).
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary ranges provided by level:
    • Level 4: $184,000 - $287,500 USD
    • Level 5: $224,000 - $356,500 USD
  • Eligible for equity and benefits.
