Details

We are searching for an extraordinary Sr. System Software Engineer to join the Deep Learning Accelerator (DLA/NPU) team. The team is responsible for the DLA system software stack and the end-to-end DLA system SW stack including user mode drivers, kernel mode drivers, and firmware. DLA supports a growing range of deep-learning use-cases, ranging from self-driving cars, smart embedded systems, video game frameworks, and content creation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain the Deep Learning Accelerator system software for next-generation NVIDIA hardware.
  • Develop advanced software for optimizing neural networks.
  • Implement and maintain user-mode drivers, kernel-mode drivers, and firmware for DLA systems.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware architecture teams to co-design hardware/software interfaces and implementations.
  • Contribute to large, complex software stacks and coordinate integration of new technologies into production products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience developing and leading complex system software, firmware, and kernel drivers.
  • Strong C and C++ programming skills with experience working with large codebases.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex software stacks.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to achieve objectives under tight deadlines.
  • Strong time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives and priorities.
  • Teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Ways to stand out

  • Experience designing and implementing drivers programming rich hardware acceleration engines.
  • Experience creating and executing software verification test plans.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range (Level 4): 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD per year.
  • Base salary range (Level 5): 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD per year.
