We are looking for a Senior System Software Engineer to join the Tegra system software group. You will work closely with hardware, software, operations, and application engineers to craft, develop, and debug robust diagnostic software and device drivers used across NVIDIA, customers' data centers, and automotive products worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Develop drivers and tests and carry them through the full software development lifecycle.
- Work closely with software engineers, hardware, architecture, and operations teams to implement and optimize features for various system-on-chip (SoC) validation and screening use cases.
- Investigate, research, and propose optimal stress loads for critical SoC domains such as CPU and memory.
- Triage, debug, and implement fixes in the software stack.
- Communicate effectively with teams across the company as well as customers and partners.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of industry-related experience.
- Excellent C/C++ programming skills.
- Detailed understanding of operating systems and kernel programming.
- Familiarity with SoC architecture and the ability to work close to the hardware.
- Experience working on a large modular system software code base is preferable.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and planning skills.
Ways to Stand Out / Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Linux kernel internals.
- Solid understanding of ARM platforms.
- Experience in diagnostic software for datacenter and server systems.
- Experience in pre-silicon and post-silicon bring-up planning and execution for complex SoCs and platforms.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary ranges by level (determined by location, experience, and pay of employees in similar positions):
- Level 3: 148,000 USD - 235,750 USD
- Level 4: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD
- You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
