Senior System Software Engineering Lead for Release - Base OS

NVIDIA is looking for a Base OS Engineering Release Lead to drive the Linux-based Base OS across multiple programs and products for both x86 and arm64 NVIDIA platforms. The role involves partnering with hardware, software, and firmware teams, and working closely with external partners and customers to capture requests and align on deliverables and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Drive Base OS releases across multiple programs and products.
• Collaborate with external partners and customers to gather and prioritize requests.
• Partner with Hardware, Software, and Firmware development teams to align on deliverables and priorities.
• Plan and communicate release schedules, milestones, and dependencies across cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Excellent communication and planning skills.
• Familiarity with at least one major Linux distribution (Ubuntu, RedHat, SLES) is required.
• Experience with complex system-level debugging is highly valuable.
• Solid understanding of GPU server architecture.

Ways to Stand Out

• Understanding of kernel development methodologies is recommended.
• Experience writing software in GitHub and exposure to the open-source development lifecycle is desired.
• Knowledge of NVIDIA technologies used within NVIDIA server products is a plus.

• Base salary will be determined based on location, experience, and pay of employees in similar positions.
• Base salary range (as posted): 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD.
