Base OS is the Linux platform used to enable both x86 and arm64 NVIDIA platforms. This role as the Base OS Engineering Release Lead helps drive Base OS across multiple programs and products, partnering across hardware, software, and firmware teams and working with external partners and customers to capture and prioritize requests.
Responsibilities
- Drive Base OS releases across multiple programs and products.
- Work closely with external partners and customers to capture their requests and requirements.
- Partner with Hardware, Software, and Firmware development teams to align on deliverables and priorities.
- Coordinate release planning, scheduling, and cross-team communication to meet program milestones.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Excellent communication and planning skills.
- Familiarity with at least one major Linux distribution (Ubuntu, Red Hat, SLES) is required.
- Experience with complex system-level debugging is invaluable.
- Solid understanding of GPU server architecture.
Ways to stand out
- Understanding of kernel development methodologies is recommended.
- Experience writing software on GitHub with exposure to the open-source development lifecycle is desired.
- Knowledge of NVIDIA technologies used within NVIDIA server products is an advantage.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD (final base salary determined by location, experience, and pay of employees in similar positions).
