NVIDIA is seeking engineers to work on the UEFI firmware implementation for Tegra in Boulder, CO and Santa Clara, CA. The role focuses on low-level systems and firmware development, collaboration with hardware and software teams, early modeling and simulation, and following projects through development to deployment in gaming consoles, servers, and AI devices worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Develop features and code for UEFI firmware.
  • Document code flow, data flow, and architecture for UEFI firmware.
  • Debug and root-cause UEFI firmware issues using creative problem solving.
  • Support simulation and FPGA environment bring-up for UEFI firmware.
  • Drive and resolve issues independently across teams and subject areas.
  • Plan and implement pre- and post-silicon verification of UEFI firmware.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with global teams.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of meaningful validated experience.
  • Superb C programming and debugging skills.
  • Experience with low-level operating system functionality and kernel programming.
  • Experience or knowledge of ARM technologies and programming is highly valuable.
  • Working experience in system software, operating system internals, kernel modules, and device drivers.
  • Experience with UEFI, ACPI, SMBIOS, and the Linux kernel is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, documentation, and planning skills.

Benefits

  • Base salary will be determined based on location, experience, and peer compensation.
  • Base salary ranges provided: Level 3: 148,000 USD - 235,750 USD; Level 4: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD.
