NVIDIA is hiring engineers to work on our UEFI firmware implementation in Boulder, CO and Santa Clara, CA. We seek the best engineers with excellent C programming skills, an understanding of operating systems and kernel programming, a deep understanding of hardware architecture, and excellent communication, documentation, and planning skills. You will work closely with both hardware and software engineers to build, develop, document, and debug the UEFI software stack. You will also be heavily involved with the early modeling and simulation required to produce our world-class products, and will follow the project all the way through the development process to deployment in gaming consoles, servers, and AI devices that are used throughout the world!

Responsibilities

  • Features/code development for UEFI firmware
  • Document code flow, data flow, and architecture for UEFI firmware
  • Debug and root cause UEFI firmware issues through creative thinking
  • Support simulation and FPGA environment bring-up for UEFI firmware
  • Drive and resolve issues independently across teams and subject areas
  • Plan and implement pre- and post-silicon verification of UEFI firmware
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with teams across the globe

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of meaningful validated experience
  • Experience in low-level operating system functionality, specifically ARM technologies and programming is highly valued
  • Superb C programming and debugging skills
  • Experience with UEFI, ACPI, SMBIOS, and Linux kernel is preferred
  • Working experience in system software, operating system internals, kernel modules, and device drivers
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation, and planning skills

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary range (Level 3): 148,000 USD - 235,750 USD
  • Base salary range (Level 4): 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD
  • You will also be eligible for equity and benefits (see NVIDIA benefits)
