NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer for Datacenter Networking to join a dedicated team focused on delivering outstanding developer and user experiences for NVIDIA networking hardware and software. This role in Santa Clara, CA, collaborates with engineering, product, marketing, and executive teams to advance datacenter networking solutions and showcase end-to-end use cases.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate usability, performance, and developer experience across NVIDIA networking (Ethernet / InfiniBand, DPUs/SmartNICs, software). Identify gaps and influence roadmaps.
- Build and run clear, repeatable benchmarks and create competitive analyses.
- Craft and build demos that showcase innovative end-to-end use cases.
- Roleplay as “customer 0” and provide feedback and solutions whenever necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners on go-to-market planning and execution.
- Engage with product management and engineering to drive and track the impacts of NVIDIA's portfolio on application performance benchmarks.
- Coordinate with internal PR resources and external outlets on publication and promotion of technical marketing content.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience in a Technical Marketing role.
- At least 5 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 3 years in technical marketing or customer co-innovation working on datacenter networking products.
- Hands-on experience with both North–South (N–S) and East–West (E–W) networking in real environments.
- Solid understanding of scale-out network designs (e.g., leaf–spine) and capacity/availability trade-offs.
- Familiarity with network collectives for AI workloads.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Golang, and Python; experience with AI/ML frameworks is preferred.
- Experience with public and hybrid clouds in an enterprise setting; knowledge of deploying and automating network infrastructure in public/private clouds.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Help develop, set up, and maintain large storage clusters, including monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Experience working with AI/ML workloads at scale to track and analyze behavior in large clusters and workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to author technical content and presentations.
- Ability to lead, influence, and work with hardware and software engineering teams.
Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd
- Hands-on experience setting up and tuning HPC clusters with Slurm, Kubernetes, or other schedulers.
- Experience with NVIDIA BlueField DPU and DOCA.
- Exposure to high-speed fabrics (Ethernet or InfiniBand) and basic optics/cabling.
- Familiarity with storage traffic patterns (e.g., NVMe-oF) and their impact on networks.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary ranges by level:
- Level 3: 124,000 USD - 195,500 USD
- Level 4: 144,000 USD - 230,000 USD
- Eligible for equity and benefits. Salary will be determined based on location, experience, and internal pay comparisons.
