Details
We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join the Data & Machine Learning team at Booking.com. This is an independent contractor role working on the next generation of Booking Data Exchange (BDX) capabilities: specifically managing the Airflow migration, Tableau migration and SOxification of BDX.
Project details:
- Location: Amsterdam, NH, Netherlands
- Timeline: 6 months (Starts: Jun 15, 2026 — Ends: Dec 14, 2026)
- Hours: 40 hrs/week
- Payrate: 60 - 120 €/hr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and technical teams across Booking to ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and flexible solutions with strong customer focus
- Interact with project sponsors, stakeholders and multiple business and technical teams to define and deliver complex features
- Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs and balance business needs versus technical constraints
- Plan and manage multiple parallel projects and create/maintain integrated project schedules accounting for dependencies, differing SDLC approaches and constraints
- Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels
- Communicate project issues and status clearly and professionally to stakeholders
- Apply best practices to the software development lifecycle (SDLC), coordinating implementations across teams using different approaches
- Drive clarity through ambiguity and leverage technical expertise with business acumen
Requirements
- Computer Science / Engineering Bachelor’s degree or related technical field
- Previous experience delivering technical programs is required
- Advanced knowledge: 5 - 8 years of relevant work experience, including technical program management experience
- Comfortable communicating about technical topics; ability to understand architectural and technical aspects of projects
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; data-driven and results-oriented
- Proven track record of leading strategy to deliver global, company-wide platform services at enterprise scale
