NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join the Generalist Embodied Agent Research (GEAR) group, leading Project GR00T, NVIDIA’s initiative to build the AI brain for humanoid robots. This role involves working closely with a research team focusing on LLMs, foundation models, robotics, embodied AI, and physics simulation to ensure productivity and track project progress.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to track daily to-dos, collect requirements, define priorities, and communicate with team leads.
- Coordinate lab operations to ensure smooth experiment execution, maintenance, and logistics.
- Support end-to-end data workflows including planning, vendor coordination, validation, and integration with ML pipelines.
- Liaise with external partners, such as humanoid robot hardware companies, to align project timelines and integration efforts.
- Monitor multiple active workstreams, address blockers, and maintain alignment with engineering teams.
- Present status updates to both technical collaborators and leadership.
- Manage purchase and maintenance of lab equipment and collaborate with facilities for optimal lab operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in program/project management roles related to AI, robotics, or hardware-software environments.
- 8+ years of engineering experience ideally in AI, robotics, or machine learning.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage 10+ project threads simultaneously.
- High ownership, urgency, and ability to deliver quality results under pressure.
- Excellent communication and technical presentation skills.
- Adaptable to fast-paced and dynamic AI research environments.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin.
- Based in Santa Clara, CA, able to work on-site.
- Hands-on coding experience, familiarity with Python and ML/AI frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coordinating with robotics hardware vendors or manufacturing partners.
- Strong technical background in AI, machine learning, and robotics concepts.
- Experience working across multiple geographies and time zones.
