Details
We are the engineering team behind the world’s largest over-the-counter (OTC) electronic trading platform covering Fixed Income bonds, ETFs, Interest Rate Swaps (IRS), and Credit Default Swaps (CDS). The team delivers end-to-end trading workflows including price discovery, real-time analytics/pricing, execution, allocation, and straight-through processing (STP), fully integrated with the Bloomberg Terminal and enterprise solutions.
Stability, availability, low-latency and flexibility are key design principles. As a senior software engineer on Fixed Income Liquidity you will join a full-stack, UI-focused engineering team reimagining how clients interact with Bloomberg’s Electronic Trading products. The mission is to deliver cohesive, flexible, and performant workflows that adapt as client needs evolve.
Responsibilities
- Build client-facing, high-performance user interfaces as part of a full-stack team.
- Design and deliver cohesive, flexible workflows for electronic trading and fixed income liquidity products.
- Collaborate with product managers, clients, and multiple engineering teams and stakeholders to drive projects and initiatives.
- Work in a fast-paced, agile environment; maintain ownership for features and quality.
- Contribute to shared platforms, component libraries, and workflow-driven systems to support reuse and consistency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working on the front end building intuitive UIs with TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, a similar field of study, or equivalent work experience.
- Understanding of computer science fundamentals such as data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with CI, CD and unit testing; good understanding of Test Driven Development is desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment using agile methodologies.
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Open mind to new technologies and practices.
Nice to Have / Preferred
- Experience building user-facing trading or financial applications.
- Experience with React or other modern frontend frameworks.
- Experience contributing to shared platforms, component libraries, or workflow-driven systems.
- Experience leading projects with multiple stakeholders and evolving requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: 160000 - 240000 USD annually (+ Benefits + Bonus).
